Cookie and Browser Storage Policy

How Pictag uses essential cookies, browser storage, consent choices, security records and optional advertising technologies.

Effective: 1 August 2026

1. Essential session cookie

Pictag uses a Secure, HttpOnly session cookie to keep signed-in users authenticated. It is required for account access and cannot be used by page JavaScript to read the session token.

2. Browser storage

Pictag may use local browser storage for chats, projects, interface preferences, consent choices, feature state and temporary offline resilience. Browser storage remains on the device until it expires, is replaced, or is cleared by the user or application.

3. Security and rate limiting

Short-lived server records are used to prevent login, verification, contact-form and API abuse. These operational records are not advertising profiles.

4. Optional advertising

Advertising is disabled unless configured by the operator. Where consent is required, advertising scripts are not loaded until the visitor selects the advertising option. Advertising providers may then use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

5. Managing your choices

You can select Necessary only or Allow ads in Pictag’s consent notice. Clearing cookies or site data may reset the choice and sign you out. Browser controls can also block or remove storage, although some essential functions may stop working.

6. Updates

This policy may be updated when storage practices or enabled providers change. The effective date will be revised when material changes are published.
