Image creators, designers, developers, publishers, stock contributors and online sellers often move between separate tools for prompting, generation, analysis, upscaling, metadata, file preparation and project notes. Pictag is designed to connect those steps so an image can move through one coherent production workflow.
What Pictag is designed to do
The core workflow is Generate → Analyse → Upscale → Tag → Prepare → Export. Users can create or upload an image, understand its content, improve its resolution when needed, choose Manual or Smart AI metadata, prepare the file and continue to its destination.
More than a tagger
Pictag also includes AI chat, web-enabled research where available, multilingual voice and Read Aloud, projects and instructions, connected image-generation providers, BYOK options and a universal prepaid credit system for supported paid AI actions.
Built for large image workflows
Manual Tagging supports batches of up to 2,000 images at 0 Pictag Credits. Smart Metadata can accept up to 2,000 selected images and generates unique metadata per analysed image using the account's available credits. The AI Upscaler also accepts batches of up to 2,000 selected images and processes them through controlled server capacity.
Product principles
Pictag is built around useful free access, optional non-expiring prepaid credits, transparent displayed costs, user-controlled provider connections, exportable work and no recurring Pictag subscription for new purchases. Buying credits adds paid AI capacity without removing the free Manual Tagging workflow.
Privacy and user control
Manual metadata processing is designed to remain in the browser. AI actions use the provider or self-hosted service required for the requested task. Original uploaded image binaries are not included in account synchronisation by default, and connected provider credentials are stored encrypted.
